Default PSP The New King of Handheld Emulation & Homebrew ?

Those people with v1.0 and now those with v1.50 are probably thinking that they have the ultimate Handheld machine for both Homebrew and Emulation, well it is indeed been a great 7 weeks for the PSP scene but the GP32 has a mass of emulators and many that surpass the PSP, check out the List of Emulators for the GP32 also theres so many Homebrew Releases that youll be spoilt for choice.

So thats the GP32 now onto the Game Boy advance and its rather impressive Emulator Release List and an even more impressive Homebrew Listing which once you have a flash cart for youll never need another comercial game.

Finally we have the Nintendo DS, already the DS can play every Emulator for the GBA and GBA Homebrew but also it has Games and Emulators of its own to play on including the release tonight of a MSX emulator for the DS.

So while the PSP is awesome is it yet the King of Handheld Emulation and Homebrew ?

GP32 is the king simply because its open source, PSP comes next and is gaining steam fast, then GBA with its flash carts (Which would put it above PSP if GBA wasnt limited by its speed so much), then DS because the wifime/passme/flashme doesnt do that much at this stage and while flash carts work on it, you cant credit them to DS.

EDIT: BTW DS just had a nice Homebrew game release:

In short maybe not as we speak.
But it cant be denied.
The psp WILL one day be the undesputed king of handheld homebrew and emulation.
Unless by that time somthing even better has stomed the scene.

I dissagree 1time-.
Mostly because ultimately the psp is more powerful then the gp32 and in the end that will show through in the quality of homebrew that will later be done on the psp and gp32.

How popular is the GP32? Is Game Park making lots of money of them? It's really amazing how fast people are figuring out PSP (I think It's because of her seducing elegance) Is there any chance Sony will release a free SDK like the one for PS1 and PS2? It is a Playstation too after all. I don't mind console makers getting royalties for commercial software but I believe official and supported free SDKs should be available for noncommercial use too.
Despite weather Sony provides free SDKs or not, I believe PSP will be the handheld, homebrew & emulation King in both quantity, and quality by the end of 05.

Dont quote me on this, but i think the whole point of the elf to pbp convesion is because the ps2 and psp use very simmeler source.
Therefore the ps2 sdk should work fine as long as you know what your doing.

PSP will be the new king. GP32 is great but comes up a bit short in some of our homebrew and emulation desires.
It's time to chew ass and kick bubble gum... and I'm all out of ass!

right now, the PSP isn't the king of handheld emulation and homebrew and what not, but it's certainly the king of portable entertainment, with the ability to play movies, music, and all sorts of games (such as PSP games, NES games, SNES games, etc.)....as soon as a good N64 emulator comes out for the PSP, then I'll gladly call it the king of emulation and homebrew ...

I think the new Gizmo (what ever its called I want one) Is the king. Its made spec for what we are doing and porting over from the existing systems (Like it I forgot the current released system) is going to be quick and well worth it. Its more powerful then the psp in terms of power w/ an nvidia graphics chipset. So I think the PSP is far from calling king.

However I do think that the DS and the PSP will have the arena in calling the most users to the table and personally owning a DS and a PSP I like the psp's nice widescreen lol. Its a good system and with some work its going to be able to do many things but if you want a total EMU system go with the systems made for it, the forums for them exists right here at DCEMU.

I have been thinking about getting one but 300 for the new one is high considering I am thinking of waiting to see more about it and just how far my PSP can go.

Plus I already bought it and I have not heard of Gamestop carring the new system Gizmo. If it does I would be 50% more likely to get it just so I can buy the 1 yr warranty. (Like I did for my psp, so that every year I can get a new psp hehehe)
