Sure, the Wii is family-oriented. But last time I checked, adults and teens make up families too. I highly doubt 30something year old daddy will want to play rayman all the time, and i really doubt 17 year old Jake will be happy with Wii Chess. The console is marketed to people of all ages and genres. So stop freaking out when a gun-like piece of plastic hits the market to fill that one niche for shooters.

I find it amazing how some parents will go ape $#@! over the fact that there's pornography, drugs, and games that portray violence available to buy. It wont be a problem if you dont buy em for your kids, or if you talk to them about how you feel about those. The word "Parent" means to raise and mentor your children. Providing for your family, paying the bills and making more kids is only one part of the job. If you don't instill solid morals for your children, they will have trouble in life.

lets see here... the nes blaster came out 22 years ago and nobody said anything and those parents prolly had a nes and prolly played duck hunt. everyone has played duck hunt at one time.then the snes blaster came out still no controversy. and now only because some redneck shows his kid and gives his kid a gun so he takes it to school and shoots some people, the Nintendo is now bad? hipocracy and pointing the finger from neglectful parents to the big companies once again(hmmp that kinda trailed off there) is the very foundation of our society and this is another example of it.

ZOMYGOD guess what, in just about any toy store, you can find plastic guns with pew pew sounds and whatnot, hell, even water pistols. I don't see what makes this so incredibly different that one is perfectly fine while the other should not be allowed to exist.

parents are stupid, and try to put blame on other things to try and hide the fact that they are the cause with their own stupidity, my parents included, their sons or daughters eventually try to rebel against something and they blame on the most popular things now days, a video game. or they have a younger kid and feed him so much god damned sugar he goes berserk and yet again the parent cannot blame themselves cause after all, they are the "innocent ones" and never did nothing wrong. if a parent don't like it than dont buy it for your ****ing kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! god damn mother****ing asshole idiots ****tard $#@!suckers!

    Hello:

This is interesting. Back in 1983 (1985 in USA), when Nintendo offers the Zapper and the gun games, no one complaint. Why now? That thing doesn't even look like a real gun.

Second, people already played Resident Evil and FarCry and Metroid Prime on Wii. The gun addon will make the game much comfortable to play with.

If parents really concern, teach your children what's real or not and what type of game should be owned and played. That would be enough.

    Stupid parents!

    Wii is for all audience.

Not just little kids. If there's a gun involed in the game, most likely it would be rated M. And its the parents responsibility if they do buy the game. If so it does happen that a child has become more violent because of the wii, it is still 100% the parents responsibility.

If you parents are too lazy to know what your children are playing, then you are just pieces of talking $#@!!

I don't see what's so wrong about having a wii gun it's the same as all the toy guns that have been out for over one hundred years, the only difference is your not actually aiming it at a real person.

"it's ok for my kid to have a bb gun which fires steel bb's at 1000 fps... but having the wii zapper is going too far... i mean, my son could have his eye out"
