Sony: We’ll sell 11m PS3s by next March

Sony Computer Entertainment boss Kaz Hirai has stated that the PS3 is on track to hit Sony’s sales expectations of 11 million units sold by the end of the company’s financial year next March, Tech.co.uk reports.

In the first quarter of its financial year Sony managed to sell 710,000 PS3 consoles.

Hirai stated that he expects demand to drastically increase once the machine’s software catalogue begins to pick up pace. Repeated rumours of a price cut are still yet to be confirmed.

Possibly, with the new games comng out. I would appeal to some and lure them to buying a ps3 console.

Also, I'm pretty sure all sales will pick up with the holiday season coming on so expect a spike in sales regardless of a price cut or new software coming out.

Rather than making radical claims Kaz, how about you:

-Cut the ****ing price some more
-Release Home god dammit
-Demand better games from 3rd parties and/or demand a standard for Multiplatform games.

Maybe then Sony will sell 11 million PS3s by March.
