pity... i guess sony could brick that ps3 if it ever connects to the net
A man robbed a GameStop store Tuesday after apparently first casing it, according to a police report.
Police said the man in his late 20s entered the store in the 1000 block of South Stapley Drive about 9 p.m. He chose some video games then said he had to go get money to pay for them.
He returned followed by another man, also in his mid 20s, who pulled out a gun and demanded money from the clerk, according to the report.
He then forced the clerk to go to a storage room and get him a PS3 Playstation, police said. Both men fled on foot.

Well the good news is, it was most likely a 40gb and therefore not a great loss.
Surely the store keeper would keep all the serial numbers, so they'd deduct the one thats missing and then the police could find the PS3 on the internet via the Mac Address and then get the IP address from that Mac Address and contact the ISP and subpoena the details. Then the thief gets arrested
Theives aren't that smart.
What makes you think the thief hasn't already sold the PS3 to some unsuspecting gaming grandma.
The thieves have good taste. Im sure the store had 360s but the opted for the best console.
**Awaits the attack of 360s fanboys**
That's good news for Sony. At least someone got a PS3
Fail indeed.
Wait until the PS3 is homebrew capable and running Nintendo Wii games.
