The Metropolitan Police are looking for 23-year-old Usman Sethi, an O2 employee wanted in connection with the theft of 252 iPhone 5 phones (worth more than £100,000) from the network's Wimbledon store.
Sales of the new Apple device were meant to begin at 9am on Friday (September 21st) but they made an early exit from the store at 1.30am, accompanied by cash from the safe.
Sethi is also suspected of robbing jewellery from his family home.
The shady incident is a far cry from O2's stunt at The O2, whichoffered Apple fans the opportunity to buy an iPhone 5 from on topof the London landmark.

Earlier in the year, IDC estimated that tablet shipments would hit 106m in 2012, a revision on the previously predicted 87.7m.
Of course, the Microsoft Surface, Galaxy Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HDand Kobo Arc have been revealed since that time, while an iPad Mini is expected to debut very soon.
It's likely that in combination with the 'robust consumer demand' that has encouraged the researcher to wager that worldwide shipments will reach 117.1m unit in 2012, with sales set to surge in Q4 ahead of Christmas.
Devices shipped by OS share between 2011-2012 and 2012-2016 are set to look like this:
    * Windows tablets comprising Windows 7, RT, and 8 are to rise from one per cent in 2011 to four per cent, up to 11 per cent.
    * iOS to grow from 57.2 per cent in 2011 to 60 per cent before slipping back to 58 per cent.
    * Android to slip from from 38.9 per cent to 35.3 per cent, declining further to 30.5 per cent by 2016.
RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook wasn't even mentioned, presumably on a lack of sway in the space, though the firm attempted to revive interest recently with a Canada-only launch of a LTE-enabled model.
Meanwhile, 2013 shipments have also been adjusted from 142.8m to 165.9m, while 2016 worldwide shipments are set to reach 261.4m.
Tom Mainelli, research director, mobile connected devices at IDC, said: "Apple leads the market with its iPad, and we expect its dominance to continue in the second half of the year. Still, we believe there is room in the market for others to find success, and new Android- and Windows-based products shipping in the coming months will give consumers plenty of buying options during the holiday season."
Jennifer Song, research analyst for IDC's worldwide trackers, said: "Tablets running Microsoft's upcoming Windows 8 and RT operating systems, including the company's own Surface tablets, will add some momentum.
"However, we expect shipments to remain low in the fourth quarter as high prices and consumer confusion around these devices will limit their appeal. Also, in the second half of the year Android should benefit from the success of the Nexus 7 and Amazon's launch of new Kindle Fires."

    2. Apple iPhone

Apple has sold five million iPhone 5 handsets in three days, following sales beginning on Friday, September 21st.
That outshines the efforts of the iPhone 4S, which hit four million in its debut weekend last October.
Of course, demand was already through the roof with iPhone 5 pre-orders passing two million in 24 hours – more than doubling and tripling the respective efforts of the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 – though many buyers aren't likely to receive their orders until next month.
The 5 is available in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore at launch, but will land in 22 more countries on September 28th.
The goal is to reach more than 100 countries by the close of 2012, which will likely add to sales surge ahead of Christmas.
Meanwhile, 100m iOS device owners have already upgraded to iOS 6 – despite a huge disliking for Apple Maps.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, said: "Demand for iPhone 5 has been incredible and we are working hard to get an iPhone 5 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible.
"While we have sold out of our initial supply, stores continue to receive iPhone 5 shipments regularly and customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough iPhone 5s for everyone."
In other iPhone-related news, one O2 worker was so keen to get his hands on a device that he stole 252 handsets from his store.

To be among the elite video game players at the Pokémon World Championships, players must collect and train a powerful Pokémon team, spend countless hours preparing for battle, and plan a strategy for the intense competition they must face. For a select few players who competed at the 2012 Pokémon World Championships in Hawaii, their hard work, dedication, and success earned them a place in the upcoming Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 video games launching 12th October in the UK.

The Pokémon Company International announced today that 12 video game finalists from this year’s Pokémon World Championships—including three-time World Champion Ray Rizzo—will be the basis for Pokémon Trainers in Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 to challenge players as part of the in-game Pokémon World Tournament. Beginning on 22nd October, three distribution events via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service will unlock Pokémon World Tournament events featuring those finalists. Each distribution will feature four finalists from a Pokémon World Championships age division, and you can battle them after reaching the Pokémon World Tournament found in the Unova region’s Driftveil City.

You will battle the Pokémon teams that these top Trainers used at the 2012 Pokémon World Championships, including their moves, held items, Abilities, and Natures. Ray Rizzo’s lineup of Tyranitar, Garchomp, Cresselia, Hydreigon, Metagross, and Rotom proved too strong for the competition as he battled his way to an unprecedented third Pokémon World Championships title. The Pokémon World Tournament gives players the chance to test their mettle against Gym Leaders and other popular Trainers from past Pokémon games, as well as these real-world Pokémon Trainers.

To participate in the Pokémon World Tournament distributions, you will need to have a copy of Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2, a system in the Nintendo DS family or the Nintendo 3DS, and wireless broadband Internet access. More information, including dates for all three distributions, the complete list of finalists that will be included in the distributions, and further instructions on how to participate, will be announced 15th October.

Why would you want a Wii U when the PlayStation Vita and PS3 can do the same thing already? That's Sony's line of attack as Nintendo readies its new hardware for release."We tell our PlayStation fans all the time that what the Wii U is offering is something that Vita and PS3 can do quite easily," US Sony exec John Koller told Engadget. That means Sony can pick and choose which games it wants to support with a touch-screen controller concept, Koller added.LittleBigPlanet 2 allows you to hook up your Vita as a controller, for example.

"It's dependent on the content. We need to make sure the content isn't force fed. And, to us, making sure that the gamer receives the right type of experience is what's most important. We're going to pick our spots, but that technology does certainly exist here."A PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita separately cost more than a Wii U - which allows for dual-screen gaming out of one box. But most Vita players own a PS3 already, Koller added."You look at the Vita consumer and a very high percentage - almost all of them - own a PS3. So you see that crossover works.""Whether we want to bundle the hardware together remains to be seen," he concluded, mentioning that retailers asked for such a move "all the time".Koller did not mention how many PS3 players own a Vita. Sony has not released firm hardware figures for its handheld since June, when 2.2 million of the devices were out in the wild.

With both the Basic and Deluxe Wii U systems selling out rather quickly this week, GameStop recently instituted a wait list for future pre-orders of Nintendo's upcoming home console. The wait list is for PowerUp Rewards members only, and will notify customers by phone or email when their systems are available for purchase.

Those on the wait list cannot put money down on a console, may reserve no more than two Wii U systems, and must pay for the system in full within 48 hours of being notified of its availability. To top it off, all registrations for the wait list are done in-person at any GameStop location.
