    News/release from luislizard:

Hi, say hello to version v0.5 with theme manager, and an easier way to adding themes (now you can just throw the theme with any name you want in ms0:/themes)

To create screenshots for your themes:
--Take the screenshot of the theme
--Open it with paint and click Image then Resize/Skew
--In there set to resize both horizontal and vertical to 70%, click OK
--Then click File then Save As, and save it as a PNG
--Then place that file as screenshot.png in the theme's folder

    Features:
    -- Theme Manager NEW!!!
-- Automatic theme flashing at startup
-- Unlimited slots for saving themes
    -- Configuration menu
-- Dummy font flashing -- Frees 2.5 mb in Flash0
    -- Monthly theme cycling
    -- Original theme backup
-- Scripting improvement over last release

Files it can flash: (Requests accepted)
    --topmenu_plugin
    --opening_plugin
    --savedata_plugin
    --gameboot
    --system_plugin
    --background (01-12.bmp)
    --impose_plugin
    --premo_plugin
    --system_plugin_fg
    --system_plugin_bg
    --photo_plugin
    --game_plugin
    --sysconf_plugin
    --ltn0
    --visualizer_plugin
    --update_plugin
    --sysconf_plugin_about
    --savedata_utility
    --rss_suscriber
    --netplay_plugin
    --netconf_dialog
    --music_main_plugin
    --msvideo_main_plugin

    IMPORTANT:
-- In my past releases i received alot of complaints about why i didn't include the original sony files. I don't include them because it's illegal to do so, you have to get them by yourself, or if you run theme cycler with the original theme installed, it will make a backup of it.

-- If you have 3.40 then you need themes for 3.40, if you use one for another version it WILL NOT work.

-- You need to know the basics of flashing before using any flashing progams. Also, learn how to use the recovery mode before flashing anything.

-- To fix a semi-brick goto recovery mode and enable auto-boot. Reboot PSP and hold O, the configuration mode will load, then press "flash backup theme" and voila semi-brick fixed!

-- The README file is your friend, take a look at it before using.

-- if you want both autorun and the manual Cycle Theme function you need to set the 1.5 kernel to GAME since the boot folder has to be strictly at GAME, not GAME150.

-- DO NOT RENAME THE BOOT FOLDER, AND IT SHOULD BE LOCATED IN THE GAME FOLDER, NOT GAME150, NOT GAME340, IF YOUR ARE GOING TO USE AUTOBOOT.

ahh its nice to actually sit at my laptop and do a bit of posting and with all the negativity from other sites towards consoles i thought it would be nice to remember what inspired us all to buy the Consoles we own.

Ill start myself and let others follow and either agree or disagree with my views.

    Sony PSP.

When i first received my PSP i was amazed at the graphics, PS2 Quality graphics on a handheld, the ability to play DVD Quality movies. The system really packed some major processing power for a handheld console. The possibility of games never seen before in the palm of your hand was amazing.

    Nintendo DS

Ive always been a Nintendo Fan and the game Mario 64 on DS promised Nintendo 64 graphics on a handheld. Graphics were better than GBA but on the first games not much difference, the area the DS really impressed me was the Dual Screen and the new avenues that opened up, the thought of games such as RTS and Sim games coming to the DS made it one of the most exciting consoles in a long time. Also playing the likes of Mario Kart on Wifi against anyone in the world is simply awesome.

    Nintendo Wii

The first time i spotted the E3 video of the Wiimote in action i knew that the Wii would be a new era in Video Games, the thought of playing sword games, golf games and the likes of the Star Wars lightsabre games with a wiimote had me drooling at the mouth. The promise of Worldwide Wifi gaming is also a massive factor.

    Xbox 360

The original Xbox was awesome for FPS games and ports of PC Classics to the console and the first time i seen an Xbox 360 game playing on a HD TV i was majorly impressed. The graphics were of a quality i had not seen before. The Xbox Live Network is another great plus for playing against people worldwide.

    PS3

The PS3 is more than just a console its an HD Multmedia Center and the games when playing via an HD TV look for sure from a different generation from the ones we are used to. Blueray films are amazing, the quality of the picture at 1080i is draw dropping.

Theres just a few of my thoughts about the current generation of mainstream video game consoles. Despite all the negativity we have systems that are bringing some incredible games into our homes and in a way we never dreamed of years ago.

    News/release from Dan:

nintendo ds drum machine, synth and sequencer, intended for live performance.

this is beta code, please backup your flash card before installation or use.

    requirements

    a nintendo ds
some sort of rig to let you use homebrew - this has only been tested on an R4DS

    installation

unzip to flash card. samples need to be in the following folders:
    \bliptracker\samples\up
    \bliptracker\samples\down
    \bliptracker\samples\left
    \bliptracker\samples\right
each of those folders needs files called
    bd.wav
    hh.wav
    sn.wav
    zz.wav
    (defaults have been provided)
samples need to be 16bit wav files, best rate is 22050Hz. the loader is pretty basic and there are no guarantees that it'll load everything properly. samples should be smaller than 100kb - in practice you'll probably want much shorter than that because there's only 8 output channels i can use for this.
dldi patch the bliptracker.nds file - follow that link for information, you probably want to download the one that says "dldi win32 right click"
fire it up and have fun!
