RafPSP has just informed me of a new version of PSP Radio the Streaming app for the PSP:

    Heres whats new:

    New release
    1.18.1365 (2007-03-26)

All releases are for F/W 2+ with OE (tested on 3.03B); no more static/dynamic mumbo-jumbo. All releases are what was formerly known as dynamic; i.e. plugin based.

    Changelog:

    1.18.1365 (2007-03-26)
    NEW FEATURES
(raf) TextUI: After a configurable amount (default 10 seconds) during playback, the visualizer goes into fullscreen.
(raf) Core: Use PSPRadio.cfg PLUGINS:VISUALIZER_FULLSCREEN_WAIT to set the wait before going into visualizer fullscreen mode. (Set to 0 to disable).
(raf) Core: This fullscreen config wait parameter is now configurable from the PLUGINS Options menu.
(raf) Core: Added kiss-fft routines, and now provide frequency data to visualizer plugins if requested.
(raf) Plugins: Added a spectrum analyzer plugin (based on finespectrum.c for XMMS).
(raf) Core: FFT and VIS_Spectrum use vfpu for some calculations, to get a speedup. (Thanks to MrMr[iCE] for his helpful vfpu library pspmath).
(raf) Core: Removed VBLANK message across the core and sent to UI. UIs need to do it themselves.
(raf) TextUI3d: Updated to use a renderthread instead of vblank message -- Good speed-up.
(raf) Core/Plugins: UI Plugins have versioning now, and won't work across versions of PSPRadio that don't support the same interface.
    (raf) Core: Clean-up.
(raf) CScreen: Using GU for clearing screen and background copies. This makes rendering (TextUI) MUCH faster; especially during fullscreen visualization!.

    BUG FIXES
(raf) TextUI: When switching skins all the text will disappear. Corrected.
(raf) Choosing exit from option menu is much faster, and less prone to crashing.

    KNOWN BUGS
(raf) Core: Static IP connections don't work correctly. Seems the gateway is not used as it should. (Also, make sure CPU speed is 222 when establishing a WiFi connection).
(raf) Core: Module unloading doesn't free up all memory correctly. Even though plugins can now be loaded/unloaded, the PSP can eventually crash as it runs out of memory (after loading/unloading enough times; even though I switched back and forth between the text and 3d UIs over 20 times, and everything worked fine).

Special thanks to albadross for his testing and good suggestions!

    Enjoy!,

    Raf.

As many of you are aware of, Nintendo made a goal to sell 4 million Wii's by the end of the 2006 year. That goal was accomplished. As I'm sure you all know by now, Nintendo was pushing itself to sell 6 million by the end of their fiscal year, March 31, 2007. It is currently 10:30 PM on March 25th, 2007 here and I have but two words to say about this task:

    MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

According to the above image ripped from the popular sales tracking site, VGCharts.org, the Nintendo Wii has sold 6.03 million consoles around the world.

All I have to say is congratulations, Nintendo, for creating such a buzz about this console that it simply sells out in 5 minutes at any store that gets them. I was lucky enough to get mine on launch day and am loving it. I'll bet that we will see a 10 million mark before the year is over. ...

Giant controllers are so last week! I don’t know what’s better: the working light, this guy’s sexy supermodel pose, or the fact that this NES has wheels!

When in doubt, always choose the wheels. Always. ...

Forget HD and multi-core CPU's, back then it was all about the bits in the CPU, the Nintendo 64 was the first ever game console with a 64 bit CPU. It was also 'next-gen' in terms of the maximum screen resolution it supported, it could run games at a whopping 640*480 (*gasps*). Back then 640*480 was the 1080p holy grail of today only it wasn't nearly as hyped and the difference in image quality was far more spectacular over 320*240, unlike todays 1080p advantage over 720p.

The Nintendo 64 was the most powerful game console ever with the most potential when it was released. Popular franchises such as Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda wowed people with the amazing graphics made only possible with the power of the Nintendo 64, other tech demos and crazy propaganda also did their part.

The Wii Opera browser has been getting relatively positive reaction from the masses, but there’s a lot of features that would make the surfing experience so much easier. It appears that our input has been listened to, and there’s a few extra tweaks coming in the final version due out in April.

    Details from Nintendo:

Since late December, Wii owners have been able to download a trial version of the Opera Internet browser. After receiving substantial and helpful feedback from consumers, friends and family members, Nintendo developers have made a number of improvements to the final version of the browser, including:

    improved zooming and scrolling
    an improved zoomed font
    shortened startup times
    quicker access to “favorites”
an ability to hide the toolbar
buttons that will instantly type common preset letters, such as “www” or “.com”
More details about these and other functions will be announced in the near future. To ensure that the browser incorporates all of these enhancements, the final version will be available for download in April, a few weeks later than previously announced. The browser will remain free for Wii owners to download through the end of June. After June, users who haven’t already downloaded the Opera browser can go to the Wii Shop Channel to download it for 500 Wii Points. ...

Now your favorite board games are available on the Nintendo DS! This compilation reprises the classic games Battleship, Connect Four, Sorry!, and Trouble. Battleship has come a long way to get to the Nintendo DS. First there was paper and pencil, then the board game versions, and now here. Using your skill and logic, can you be the first to sink all 5 of your opponent's ships before they can sink yours? In Connect Four, play the original vertical four in a row checkers game. Horizontal. Vertical. Diagonal. All you have to get is four in a row...

Take turns dropping checkers into place and try to get four in a row in any direction - while preventing your opponent from doing it first! Then, move on to Sorry, the classic game of slide and pursuit! Be the first player to move all four of your pawns around the game board from Start to Home. Trouble, Milton Bradley's classic race-and-chase game, is guaranteed to bring out your competitive side. Hop your pegs around the track. Land on an opponent's peg and bump it back home. Keep poppin' and hoppin' to get all pegs to the finish line first.
