The Coder who is behind the NeoGeo CD Emulator for Windows called NEOGEO CDZ Emulator has released his own version of the continuation from the last official release by Yoyofr (although Zelurker has updated his version to 0.7.1 now). The translation from google is poor as usual but here it is:

Ever since the video iPod came out I’ve been itching to find a way to record to it directly. Tapeless camcorders still cost $600 and up, after all, so I may as well use what I’ve already got in hand. Well, the iSee 360i from Advanced Technology Office may be the solution. It looks like a PMP, but there is a spot in the back where you can dock a fourth gen iPod so that it’s flush with the device. The iSee is only about 6 x 3.2 x 1.1 inches, weighs 6 ounces, and has a bigger 3.6-inch LCD screen to use for viewing clips. But here’s where it gets interesting, you can plug any analog source in the back and record video files through the iSee. As with other PMPs, you can then watch your movies on the iSee screen or play them back at 640x480 on any TV. So basically what you’re doing is using the iPod for disk storage of the digital video captured by this doohickey. iPod mini users, you can play, too, but you’ll need to pony up for an adapter, as will nano users and fifth-generation iPod users. Priced at $249, the company says the iSee 360i will be shipping in the first quarter of this year.

We've got the latest shots of Tomb Raider: Legend as Lara makes her debut on two new games machines – PSP and Xbox 360 - and she looks incredible on both the handheld and the next-gen console.

The actual gameplay of Tomb Raider: Legend is identical for every format but there are differences with presentation, especially with the 360 version; the visuals have been specifically created for the new console, rather than it just being a polished port.

The main difference offered with the 360 version can be seen in the textures, which are far more detailed than in the PS2 and Xbox game. The lighting and shadow effects show more sophistication, too, and are shown off nicely when Lara uses her torch in the dark tombs.

Online play via Xbox Live is not available but there may be content on offer in the Marketplace.

The PSP version might not have the detail of the 360 game but it is still remarkable to look at; proving almost identical to the PS2 version. This is partly due to the fact that using a smaller screen allows the texture detail to be lessened slightly without it having much impact on the overall effect, but that's not meant to devalue the achievement developer Crystal Dynamics has made getting Lara's new adventure on to the handheld.

The developer is hoping to include a system that will allow gamers to swap save games between the PSP and the PS2 versions, so you'll be able to continue Lara's adventure at home or on the move.

A longtime writer for "Hardcore Gamer" site FiringSquad (who proclaims that he's not a Nintendo fan) has produced a three-page article explaining why he appreciates the Revolution controller that he's ridiculed for so long, and why he now expects great things from the system in the next-generation console race.

Dissatisfied with stagnation in the FPS, RTS, RPG, and sports genres over the past few years, the author feels that the Big N is ideally suited to take advantage of the arms race between the PS3 and Xbox 360 due to its low price, low development costs, a sexy indie image, and, most importantly, its radical new controller.

In conclusion he writes: "Nintendo is poised for a coup. As someone who not so long ago was dismissive of what the company can accomplish, I today firmly believe that they’re capable of taking the #1 position from Sony." Sounds like a convert, all right (or, at the very least, a shrewd observer who's willing to hedge his next-gen bets).

This post doesn't present much new to people who've kept up with the console landscape lately, but it does present a strong argument for other Nintendo "haters" to reconsider their stance on the Revolution and its potential impact in the near future. ...

Rumor has it that a uniqe Sonic game is headed for the Revolution, this according to IGN. From the article: "Sources close to SEGA have told IGN Revolution that the developer is working on a new entry into the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise for Nintendo's next generation console. The title, purportedly developed by a 'top-tier' SEGA team led by Yuji Naka, will not be a port of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game tentatively dubbed 'Sonic the Hedgehog [next gen].'"

When IGN contacted SEGA, the publisher would not confirm the rumor, only saying that Sega will "support" Nintendo's next-gen console. ...
