Jonny has released a new version of the Media Player for the PSP, heres the info:
PMP Mod is a media player for PSP.
The "Mod" suffix indicate that this is a modified version, based on the original version from JiniCho. Many thanks goes to JiniCho for porting FFMPEG and FFPLAY to PSP. Without his work, this modified version would never be possible. Starting from version 1.00, i've introduced a custom container, that's why the muxer is needed. You can find more informations about supported video and audio formats here.
I wasn't able to crash it in the last 10 days, it should be stable and reasonably fast.
The player is totally rewritten (now i'm using only libavcodec from FFMPEG).
Zoom option is still missing (for videos with width and/or height < 480x272), apart from this, basic functions are here (pause and seek).
Everything is quite optimized, plus, i use a buffer of about 1 second to prevent slowdown on complexity spikes and keep the psp spinning frames.
It's programmed in a way that av will never desync (when a scene is too power demanding you'll notice audio skipping).
Today i've tested the battery, the app eat ~40% for a 2 hours movie (not bad considering the cpu @333 and the me running).

Here's flashMe V6 (pre-release). I'll let you bang on it for a few days before making it official. It's a non-critical update, just a few small fixes. No SL1 shorting is needed if you have V5.
Changes:
- shows your old firmware version
- fixed booting problems with with Darkain's MultiNDS and NeoFlash loaders

SirDzstic has updated his file manager for the GP2X, heres the info:
The Buttons are now mapped as suggested by swf.
The possibility to keep the cursor moving by holdingup/down is implemented, but disabled, because the cursor moved too fast this way, but this will be corrected.
When putting a line like "gpe *" into the config, the according file will be executed itself.

Nickspoon has updated his Flash Player for the GP2X removing the sound support completely to make it a bit faster and compatible.

This program will play Flash movies, and to a certain extent Flash games (though currently there is low compatibility with either). The mouse movement is a little dodgy at the moment, and there's no keyboard or sound support. To run, simply create a script that includes the line:
./flashplay
and run it from the same directory as flashplay.
Changes - v0.2beta:
- Sound support removed entirely.
- Mouse movement smoother.
Included in the zip is the player, a flash movie that I know works and a launcher gpe that plays that movie. If somebody can find another flash movie that works with this, please PM me, I'd like to know

Just a side note, we are a bit slower tonight because our GP2X Site got slashdotted, seems that the mainstream wants some GP2X action and with us having one of the worlds best GP2X as well as PSP sites its giving us a kicking

Zodttd has updated his port of Open Transport Tycoon for the GP2X, heres the full post:
Yay! An update to OpenTTD for the GP2X. I've named this port TTD2X. Lot's of stuff has been updated, including the previously buggy OpenTTD core. Things should run much smoother now, and TTD2X now uses the Minimal library for graphics output.
The controls are still a bit weird, as can be expected due to the lack of touch screen or mouse. Read the included readme.txt for the new controls layout.
Not many people (1) have donated for my TTD ports, so I'll see how this version of TTD2X goes. I've mostly been working on GP2PSX due to donations. It's sort of my way of telling which project I should work on more than others.
For those of you updating from a previous version, all that needs to be overwritten/updated is:
openttd.gpe
The entire LANG directory must be removed and replaced with the current LANG directory
That's all that's needed for updating from a previous installation.
I would really appreciate if someone formed of a list of bugs and improvements to TTD2X that I could go through and work on. I'm sure there's still plenty of work to be done on this port, I just get disorganized when it comes to finding bugs and keeping up to date on suggestions.
Time to enjoy some TTD!

Well im quite happy to present my first game/port for the GP2X. Its a port from the classical game Nebulus, im sure one or two of you know that game. Its the initial release so maybe you will find bugs

Pepone has released the first NeoGeo MVS (cartridge version) emulator for the GP2X, heres what he posted:
There still some compatibility problem, and sound slowdown a lot the emulation. Follow the information of README.GP2X and it should work
