i counted the themes in their amazing package.

there's a total of 121 full themes, as well as another 50 or so fonts, waves, vol bars, icons, etc. all for 3.5X  i recompressed their package so the download would be smaller (only by 2mb) so now it's 92mb, or 168 uncompressed.

it covers a vast array of interests, games, shows, n movies, it's worth a peek

    skyPSP

Webcam Client and Server Suite for the Sony PSP

I am proud to announce the initial release of the skyPSP Webcam Client and Server suite for the Sony PSP.

    What is it?:
The skyPSP Webcam Suite is a pair of applications which transform your PSP into a mobile webcam studio.

The client application allows you to view webcam streams on five of the seven continents, in over ten countries.

You DO NOT need an FTP server, or the GoCam!/ChottoShot camera for the CLIENT application.

Snapshots will be posted to my own FTP server and can be viewed at:
    http://www.califrag.com/skypsp/

The server application turns your PSP into a mobile webcam, using the GoCam!/ChottoShot camera for the Sony PSP.

FTP server and the GoCam!/ChottoShot camera ARE REQUIRED for the SERVER application.

These homebrew applications are written in C and do not use HTML or the PSP's web browser.

Server Application - Controls and Other Information:
Edit the skyPSP.cfg file and add your own ftp login information.

Run the program, it will connect to the first network.
Once it has connected to the network, it will prompt you to connect the camera and press X.
Upon doing so your memory stick and wlan LEDs will flash wildly (saving the cam image, uploading it).
Visit your FTP via whatever url to your domain: the image will be saved as www.yourdomain.com/skyPSPcam.jpg

Client Application - Controls and Other Information:

Holding the L button when the program starts will save EVERY image to the ms0:/PICTURE/skyPSP/ folder.

Otherwise, if you would like to save a picture, press R anytime to save a snapshot into the ms0:/PICTURE/snapshots/ folder.

The folders will automatically be created so don't worry about that.

If you set up the FTP server information in the .cfg file, the snapshots will automatically upload to your own server.

If not, you can view snapshots at:
    http://www.califrag.com/skypsp/
Note that everyones snapshots will be posted here and you'll have to browse through them.

Press R Trigger to take a snapshot (as described above)

Left and Right will change to previous or next webcam

Up or Down will enable webcam auto-cycle which will either go to the next or previous webcam after each refresh.

Press Triangle to stop the webcam auto-cycle.

Press X to enable "Theatre Mode"

Press O to switch between grayscale and color mode.

After startup, pressing the L Trigger will toggle between 1 and 2 second refresh.

There are over 40 webcams included in this release:
(and more to be added in future releases!)
    Spoiler!

    via VL-Tone

A new version of VL-Tone's Toad's Tool 64, the Super Mario 64 level editor has been released! No new features this time, just lots of bug fixes. There have actually been two other releases besides 0.57b since 0.5b which both also consisted of bug fixes. Here's the full list of fixes for all three versions:

    Bug Fixes in 0.5.7b

•Fixed a stupid bug where saving was actually disabled.

    Bug Fixes in 0.5.6b

•Fixed a bug that was causing a script error when loading some ROMs that were already modified and were containing "Undefined Combos".

•Fixed a bug where a script error happened when trying to open a ROM after canceling the opening.

•Saving modified description labels should now work properly.

    Bug Fixes in 0.5.5b

•Fixed a bug where putting a 0x42 object that had a Macro Preset value of "1E" would cause all subsequent objects to become invisible and in-editable when reloading the ROM.

•Some previously missing 0x42 objects in Bowser course 3 are now visible and editable. (Related to the bug above).

•Previous versions of TT64 would only show you Object Combos and Behaviors used in the ROM that was loaded. That means that if you were to change the behavior that was only used by a single object in the game, the behavior wouldn't appear in the menu list the next time you'd load the ROM since it wasn't used by this ROM.

•TT64 0.5.5b will list all Behaviors and Object Combos from the original game even though the loaded ROM doesn't use them.

•Changing the text of a parameter label wont cause the yellow pop-up menu to switch to the parameter.

•Camera and move controls are now disabled when not in 0x24, 0x42 or 0x43 object mode, as they were supposed to be.

•Yellow pop-up menu should now update correctly when pasting params.

•Pasting params should not cause script errors anymore, as it did in some contexts.

•Editing 0x22 commands now updates the objects in the 3d view and object lists.

•Yellow pop-up menu for Destination Warp ID will update correctly while changing the destination level to reflect which warps are available there.

•Maximizing before the ROM is first loaded shouldn't cause an error anymore.

•Unnamed Behavior params won't show as "B. Param: B. Param" in the pop-up menu header.

•Yellow pop-up menu should now update correctly when reverting objects.

•Rotating in "relative" mode would cause a script error. Rotation with the widget is now only done in absolute mode. The "relative" and "absolute" options will only affect the move object widget.

•Reverting a 0x43 object that has a rotation parameter should now revert the rotation value, as expected.

•Reverting commands other than 0x24, 0x42 and 0x43 will only revert commands of the current command type.

•Sorting in the yellow pop-menu would fail in some context. It should now work correctly.

•When changing a coordinate value manually, or when pasting coordinates, the camera should now follow the object as expected, when in Orbit Camera mode or when the "Follow Selection" option is checked.

•In some cases, every item in the yellow pop-menu would become underlined. This shouldn't happen in this version.

•Exporting grayscale textures would cause the alpha mask to get inverted, and the gray depth would be severely reduced. This is fixed.

•The Export To Folder button in the Texture Importer/Exporter should now work as expected.

•Mario Colors interface had a few glitches that are now fixed.

    News from Noobz

You've probably already seen the news that Datel are selling a clone of the Pandora battery. You may even have been excited by their marketing information:

"Special TOOL version of our PSP battery works in exactly the same way as a standard SONY PSP battery but has the ability to put your PSP into service mode for custom firmware use."

You might have thought that this means that you no longer need a homebrew PSP to be able to get started with Pandora. Unfortunately, you'd be wrong. And Datel don't seem to be in any hurry to put you right.

This product is useful, in that it allows you to skip the step of needing a homebrew PSP to modify an existing battery. It even comes in a nice fire engine red colour, so you don't get it confused with your other batteries. And it's not a bad price. But you still need a homebrew PSP to create the files to place on the memory stick. Without the special memory stick, Pandora is useless. And no-one is able to legally give you the files required to prepare that stick without a homebrew PSP.

When you buy the TOOL battery, you get just the battery. No instructions, no indication that you even need a memory stick, let alone how to prepare it. Datel seem to be happy to let the buyer make the mistake of thinking this is all they need, and they don't even help you figure things out once you realise your mistake. I think that's pretty crappy, and relying on the community to do their customer support for them is rotten.

    News / release from Namco:

I can now proudly announce that I've ported Zombiepox!!

It's not a full port though as I've had to remove the music as I still couldn't get the dumb libs fully ported. There are still some other issues with it that I will mention below.

    zombiepox2x

The latest file can be downloaded from here, whilst the zombiepox file is waiting to be approved on the gp2x file archive.

    Readme file text:

    Zombiepox2X
    -----------

    Installation instructions.
    --------------------------

Unzip archive and put it in the root of the SD card.
You MUST run the zpox_launcher.gpe otherwise the game won't work.

    Controls
    --------
    MENU:
    L + R - Quits the app.
Up + Down - Navigates the menu
    B - Select

    GAME:
    Joystick - Moves player
    X - Throws a brain
Y (when held down) - Shows the map (Displayed at the top left hand corner)
A - Quits game to main menu

    Known Problems
    --------------
    - When moving the joystick, in the menu, the cursor moves too fast
    - After selecting the options menu it is next to impossible to get back to the main screen
    - The Help and Scores menu doesn't display properly after pressing the select button
    - The A button (ingame) is not supposed to quit to the menu, it is supposed to pause.

If anyone else spots something that I've missed please let me know.

    Thanks.

Oh and many apologies for how long this took (on and off).

But I now feel proud of myself for having done it!

    Enjoy.

    [edit]:
New on the zip file is the zpox_launcher source (within the _src file). If anyone encounters problems with the blank screen the you can just rerun the makefile and copy over the old file found in the main folder.

Just make sure that you edit the makefile to point your correct arm-linux-g++/arm-open2x-linux-g++ compiler.
