Here's a cute little newly announced feature of 3.0 - Find My iPhone. Users who have the 3.0 firmware and MobileMe will be able to log in to MobileMe, see a map with their iPhone's physical location, and send a message to the iPhone instructing whoever has it to call a number.

And you can use a Remote Wipe feature to erase all data on your iPhone, and restore it to factory settings. Here's hoping Apple never decides to take over the world....

Before fitness games were all the rage, Konami released almost a dozen Dance Dance Revolution games with workout modes. The latest iteration for Wii, simply called Dance Dance Revolution, takes this in a new direction.

Playing Dance Dance Revolution with the balance board isn’t like dancing at all. It’s all about leaning. When you see a left arrow you shift your weight to the left. An up arrow means tilt forward and a right arrow means lean right. The balance board mode also has players punch with the remote and nunchuck while the game tracks how many kilogram calories you burn.

Hip rotating replaces freeze arrows. When you see one of these sections you have to rotate your hips as if you were gyrating an invisible hula hoop.

I appreciate that Konami is evolving the Dance Dance Revolution series, but won’t players lose more pounds by stepping instead of leaning?

Koei repackaged the two Warriors Orochi games and added a few characters like Sanzang Fashi who attacks with her sleeves to make Musou Orochi Z for the PlayStation 3. The game came out in Japan in March, but it won’t cross the Pacific.

Since the Warriors Orochi Z wasn’t at E3 I spoke to Koei about it. At one time Koei planned on localizing Musou Orochi Z as Warriors Orochi: The Collective. A representative from Koei confirmed that the rumor Siliconera discovered was on the mark, but plans for the project have been shelved. Warriors Orochi: The Collective, Musou Orochi Z, Warriors Orochi Z or whatever name you know the game by is stuck in Japan, which makes Musou Orochi Z the first Omega Force developed Warriors game not to get an overseas release.

Unlike all the dozens of Warriors games Warriors: Legends of Troy is not being handled by Omega Force. Koei’s Canada studio is developing the title, which is a blend of Dynasty Warriors and Greek mythology.

The story is based on the Trojan War and Koei plans on taking some creative liberties with the setting. A representative from Koei coyly answered my question about fighting non human enemies with, “Yes, there will be mythological creatures.”

Koei Canada is working with a different set of tools than the other Warriors games and plan to tweak the formula the existing formula. For the first time heroes can equip shields and use them to bash foes. Paris (pictured) and other characters can scrounge around and use weapons from their fallen foes. Warriors: Legends of Troy also has online support for four players, which is a key addition for me. I don’t think I can trudge through another Dynasty Warriors style game solo. These kinds of games are always more fun when playing with a friend.

Warriors: Legends of Troy is slated for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in spring 2010.
