    News from PSPFanboy

1UP sat down with Loco Roco's director Tsutomu Kuono to chat about the behind-the-scenes action of the game and how a perky yellow blob gets cast as the star of a buzz-worthy title. One of the most interesting bits of the video involves Kuono's quick explanation for the game's title, which apparently was inspired by the two primary buttons used in the game, the Left and Right triggers. Like all strange and potentially gimmicky ideas, Kuono initially had a hard time convincing anyone Loco Roco was worth making. Fortunately, this was all a part of the refinement process, and now the game is on the verge of raising everyone's Seratonin levels.

"I wanted to make a crazy, stupid game!" Said Kuono. Dang, that makes me want this game even more. ...

Are you jacked into your iPod 24 hours a day? How about when your cell phone rings?... you know the drill. Pull out one earbud while trying to jam your cellphone headset into the same ear and then pick up the call before it goes to voicemail. It's damn inconvenient and a process no self-respecting geek should ever go through. Now your cellphone and iPod can live together in happy harmony.

The Skullcandy Cellphone/iPod Headset eliminates this cumbersome gadget switching process and replaces both your iPod earbuds and your phone's handsfree headset with one integrated device. When a call comes in simply touch the controls on the cord to silence your iPod or reduce the volume. A built in microphone ensures your calls sound crystal clear, and you get the bonus of better quality audio on your end. You can even continue to listen to your music privately while you chat on the phone. Frankly it's amazing to us how you've managed without these handy headphones till now.

The Skullcandy Cellphone/iPod Headset comes in your choice of an earbud format or behind the ear style headphones.

PSMonkey has posted an Easter Hunt of sorts, heres the newspost from his site:

Happy Easter everybody. To celebrate the holiday I desided to do a little easter hunt.

Through out the day, I will post new screenshots regarding the current progress of Monkey64 (so check back freqently). "Eh?" you say? Wasn't I on break?

Well yes I was. Yet that did not stop me from doing a few things here and there on the emu. Not major. Just felt bored on wendsday durring lunch so tried a few things. As well also a little work on saturday (my only day off from work this week due to milestones). While mario64 is still not working (and still my top priority), a few other games have started to improve. So how does this hunt play out? Well it's simple. I will be hiding new screenshots once and a while in old post (not my post but any random post). They will all be in the archive section.

First one to find the screenshot is to report back here (with a link to the post) where they will be credited for the find. So check here first to see what has been found before you go off on the hunt.
First shot goes up soon. Good luck.

Tob has posted a New release of the excellent app for the Nintendo DS, heres the details:

    Firstly heres what NitroTracker is

NitroTracker is a FastTracker II style tracker for the Nintendo DS. If you didn't understand that, you might want to read up on trackers. For starters, NitroTracker is a versatile tool for creating music - everywhere! It supports the popular XM file format that is used by many PC trackers and that can be played on many PC audio players such as Winamp or XMMS.

With NitroTracker, you can carry your XMs around in your DS and compose whenever and wherever you feel like it. "Tracking on a handheld console? Sounds like a pain in the ass." You might say. But because of the touchscreen and stylus of the DS, it's quite easy. You can compose your melodies using an on-screen keyboard, directly edit your patterns by making selections, copying and pasting - all with the stylus. And that's not where it ends: If you don't have any samples at hand, make your own with the DS's microphone. You can even replace the samples in existing songs with your own recorded ones. There are many possibilities already and there will be even more.

Hi everybody and greetings from Breakpoint 2006. The nice climate here is just optimal for a little coding, so I have finished version 0.1.4. Along with some fixes, like write support for M3SD and SCSD, this version actually adds some new functionality that makes editing easier and quicker. Also, left-handers won't have to struggle with the stylus and the ABXY buttons anymore as their functions can now be swapped with the D-pad.
So, have some nice easter days, and watch out for easter eggs ;-)

    Features:
added a "cln" button that clones the current pattern
column selection: make a selection over the columns you want to select and press the "sel" button. This expands the selection to the complete column(s). Without an active selection, the column under the cursor is selected.
live recording: press play in record mode and play
added del and ins buttons to the pattern screen, removed the del button from the keyboard
    new settings tab
left-handed mode (D-Pad swapped with ABXY and LR swapped)
in list boxes, clicking below/above the "scroll thingy" scrolls down/up one page
you can now tap on the song name / filename to change the name
you now have to touch the spash screen

    Fixes:
Writing is now supported on M3SD and (hopefully) SCSD, because I switched to Sata's fat lib from rain r14
moved to devkitARM r18 (general karma increase, perhaps better m3 compatibility)
wav loading was broken. fixed it and made it secure.

looping behaved strange sometimes. fixed that.

list indices are now in hex, to be consistent with the instrument column in the pattern view and with FT2 :-)

    Bye,
    Tob

    News from Divineo UK

Keep your XBOX360 cool, and prolong its life with the cool Nyko Intercooler!

    More info

Reduce the internal operating temperature of the 360 while prolonging the consoles lifespan. The Intercooler 360 is a snap on cooling attachment that easily connects to the Xbox 360 to significantly reduce the internal heat of the console. The Intercooler 360 provides increased air flow throughout the 360 which allows the internal circuitry to perform at cooler temperatures and last longer. No internal modification of the Xbox 360 is required. A pass through power connection utilizes the existing Xbox 360 power supply negating the need for an extra AC adaptor. The unit also powers on and off automatically with 360 and the intercoolers small size will fit in tight spaces like entertainment centers with your 360 displayed in either horizontal or vertical format.

Yup xboxexpert has applied water cooling to the CPU & GPU of his Xbox 360, its one way to solve the occasional bout of overheating I guess, using these parts:
    * Thermaltake CL-W0042 Rhythm Home Theater DVD Style External Liquid Cooling System
    * KOOLANCE GPU-180-L06 GPU Chipset Heatsink
    * KOOLANCE GPU-180-H06 VGA CARD GPU WATERBLOCK 1/4" ID
    * 10ft of 1/4" ID 3/8" OD PVC Clear Tubing
Its an interesting looking mod tohugh I'm unsure how many would want to cut their 360 open to do it so it will probably remain the preserve of those like xboxexpert for the time being. You'll find the full story of the mod complete with many pictures over in this Xbox-scene thread. ...
